Garrison Klueck is a multi-time Super Lawyer and the founding partner of the Law & Mediation Firm of Klueck & Hoppes, APC, in La Mesa, California. Mr. Klueck possesses over 30 years of legal experience and has recently been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Foothills Bar Association of East San Diego County. He is board-certified as a Family Law Specialist (“CFLS”) by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Klueck demonstrates daily for clients his extensive knowledge and insight into all areas of family law.
Interestingly in 2013, Mr. Klueck also has earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology. Disputes in family law widely involve psychological issues and challenges. Having a formal background and training as a therapist aids him in his practice. Although his command of the California Family Code certainly helps make him an effective attorney, Mr. Klueck counts his unwavering commitment to his clients' needs and his ability to help them reach viable agreements and solutions for their conflicts as his greatest assets when working with those going through divorce.
Mr. Klueck also is a certified domestic violence counselor and brings his experience to the family law arena as, unfortunately, many family law disputes involve domestic violence or threats of domestic violence. Compassionate and personable, he devotes his time and resources to helping his clients through some of the most difficult and emotional times in their lives, and he strives to use mediation and collaborative law as alternatives to expensive and protracted court battles.
Recognized as one of the top family law attorneys in San Diego — and in the entire country for that matter — Mr. Klueck has received numerous awards and honors for his professionalism and service. The San Diego Business Journal has named him Best of the Bar in 2015, 2016, & 2017. The San Diego Transcript voted him Top Attorney in 2007, 2008 and 2012. He also holds a Perfect 10 "Superb" rating from the Avvo rating web site.
He frequently has offered 100s of commentaries on family law for both radio and televised broadcasts in the area, and has been repeatedly elected to the board of directors for the San Diego County Bar Association, where he now sits.
Garrison Klueck has earned a doctorate degree (JD) and three Master’s Degrees. After receiving his Master of Arts in communication from San Diego State University, Mr. Klueck attended the University of San Diego School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor. While in law school, he served as executive editor for the San Diego Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award for his exceptional academic achievements in criminal law, contracts, and community property law. He received his license to practice from The State Bar of California in 1987. In addition to his doctorate in law (J.D.), Mr. Klueck earned two additional master’s degrees in religious studies and counseling psychology from the Southern California Seminary. Mr. Klueck also has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
