David J. Noonan

A founding partner at Noonan Lance Boyer & Banach, LLP, located in San Diego, California, David J. Noonan devotes his practice to general business, banking and securities litigation as well as professional malpractice and antitrust liability. Mr. Noonan represents individuals and families, small businesses and major corporations from the greater San Diego area. As such, his cases have been quite diverse, ranging from defending Fortune 500 companies against charges of violating antitrust laws to representing professional athletes in a variety of matters.

After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Colby College in 1969, Mr. Noonan received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 1972. Admitted to practice in California, he is active in a number of professional organizations, including the San Diego Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the San Diego County Bar Foundation and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. Mr. Noonan is a former president of the San Diego County Bar Association, a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court.

As the lead counsel on a number of high-profile cases, Mr. Noonan has been successful for both plaintiffs and defendants. He led the team of attorneys that won a victory for California consumers who filed a class-action suit against an ephedra dietary supplement manufacturer for false and misleading advertising, and he was the lead counsel for the defense in a class-action suit charging antitrust violations related to the retail sale of gasoline.
