Attorney David S. Casey, Jr., is the managing partner of the Casey Gerry law firm, which has offices in San Diego and Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California. A third-generation lawyer, Mr. Casey now leads his father's practice, which has recovered more than $25 billion in total compensation for those who suffered an injury or lost a loved one due to another party's negligence or wrongdoing.

Nationally recognized as one of the country's top legal advocates, Mr. Casey has achieved notable success advocating on behalf of those with personal injury or wrongful death claims resulting from motor vehicle accidents, defective products, construction accidents, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, maritime and aviation accidents, sexual assault, slip-and-fall accidents, and other preventable tragedies. For his efforts, he has secured numerous substantial settlements and awards for his plaintiff clients, and he recently earned designation as one of the Top 25 Plaintiff Lawyers in California.

Among his many other accolades, Mr. Casey has earned consistent recognition from The Best Lawyers in America each year since 2006. The Daily Journal also voted him among the Top 100 Lawyers in California as well as a Top Plaintiff Lawyer. Moreover, the San Diego County Bar Association named him Legal Professional of the Year in 2002 and in its list of Legends of the Bar in 2015.

Mr. Casey also earned the Presidential Award of Merit from the Consumer Attorneys of California in 2005 and 2014. Additionally, he received the New Lawyers Division Defender of Justice Award from the American Association for Justice as well as a listing in the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. In his honor, the CASD created the David S. Casey Jr. Award to recognize other attorneys who exhibit outstanding advocacy and leadership on behalf of consumers.

A 1971 graduate of Trinity College, Mr. Casey obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1974. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and he is an active member of many local, state and national professional legal organizations, including past president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
