    Attorney Profile

Attorney Dennis Temko founded Dennis Temko Law to serve people in Southern California and throughout the state in appellate courts. Because appealing a court ruling has its own unique processes and procedures, Mr. Temko has narrowed his focus to this area of law to give clients who wish to appeal a family law decision the benefit of his specific knowledge and experience, whether the issue is a custody decision, a property division matter, a problem with a child or spousal support order or an adverse domestic violence verdict.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, Mr. Temko returned to his home state of California. He graduated from California Western School of Law with his Juris Doctorate in 2012 and was admitted to The State Bar of California.

In college and through the years since graduation, Mr. Temko has received recognition for his outstanding legal writing skills. Writing appellate briefs requires this proficiency, as well as an eye for detail. These documents must include persuasive yet simple language, tell the client’s story compellingly and present strong legal arguments. Mr. Temko has authored more than 70 briefs and writ petitions, some of which have resulted in published opinions.

Mr. Temko is a member of the San Diego Appellate Inn of Court and the Family Law Section of The State Bar of California. He serves as a board member of the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the appellate courts of California, including The Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal, where he also provides self-help workshops as a volunteer. In his spare time, Mr. Temko enjoys spending time with his family and a variety of outdoor sports.
