    In April 2020, Mulligan spearheaded the creation of a COVID-19 Task Force in California in order to help businesses that have been destroyed by COVID-19 and whose insurance companies deny payment of business interruption claims. In addition to a trial and litigation team, the task force also includes Mark VonderHaar, a seasoned attorney who previously worked on behalf of the insurance industry and who is now available to assist Mulligan in fighting against insurance companies who wrongfully decline business interruption claims.

Ms. Mulligan also recently completed a term as a Commissioner on the State Bar of California's Judicial Nominee Evaluation Commission (JNE). 

    She frequently teaches lawyers courses in multiple courses insurance, malpractice, cybersecurity and big data and trial techniques. Ms. Mulligan previously served as a clinical instructor at the University of California San Diego Medical School, where she instructed on topics related to patient safety issues and ethics.

    • Following a medical malpractice case where the defendant hospital made no offer, Ms. Mulligan and her law partner Brian Findley, obtained a $5.5 million dollar jury verdict. The day following the unanimous verdict, the jury visited the grave of the deceased patient, leaving a note of sympathy and respect for his spouse. Two separate awards were given for this jury verdict, naming Ms. Mulligan "Top Gun in Medical Malpractice" by the Orange County Bar Association and "Trial Star" by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, 2018
