The organization was founded in honor of Iffat and Tufail Khan, immigrants that were born in Pakistan and traveled to the United States where they built their family of two daughters and three sons. Iffat and Tufail always championed giving back and helping those that are less fortunate. While they did not come from wealth, they always set aside as much as they could to help those in need. In particular, they championed education and worked towards alleviating hunger.
