    • Settlement: $1,250,000.00 (Policy Limits) Case Type: Car Accident Defendant: State Farm Insurance Company The client was a passenger in a vehicle that turned left in front a a Metro rail car which resulted in a spin out type collision. Liability was admitted but causation was disputed. Client did not seek treatment for 30 days post-collision and underwent a lumbar fusion surgery 2.5 years post accident. Defense made no formal offer on the case until tendering the full policy approximately 45 days prior to trial., 2020
    • Settlement: $1,100,000.00 Case Type: Premises Liability Construction Site Accident Defendants: Confidential The client was injured at a job site when his co-worker and other subcontractors caused him to suffer a head injury that resulted in loss of consciousness, headaches, loss of memory and inability to go back to work. Liabiltiy was heavily disputed by 3rd party defendants due to the Workers Compensation exclusive remedy doctrine and one Defendant prevailed on MSJ. When the client returned the next day to make a report, they refused and escorted him off the property. After previously being completely denied, the case settled for $1,000,000 less than 2 months before the trial. , 2020
    • Settlement: $7,500,000.00 Case Type: Premises Liability Burn Injury Defendant: Capital Insurance Group The client sustained substantial burn injuries as a result of a residential apartment fire in his own unit.     • Settlement: $500,000.00 Case Type: Premises Liability Defendant: Farmers Insurance The client was staying at a vacation rental in La Jolla, CA, when she attempted to exit one of the doorways of the building which had an unreasonably dangerous and deceptive step down, which       caused her to misstep and roll and severely fracture her right ankle.  The ankle snapped upon impact and she was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.  She subsequently underwent two additional surgical procedures in Texas, where she made her recovery., 2012
    • Verdict: $3,600,000.00.00 Case Type: Wrongful Death Our client, Ji Zeng, was the son of Michelle Lu, who was brutally murdered by her second husband, James Lu, who then tried to kill the client.  Defendant Lu was convicted of the first degree murder of Michelle Lu and the first degree attempted murder of the client and is currently serving life in prison.  Mr. Wallace was lead trial counsel in the civil trial, where the jury returned a verdict in the total amount of $3.6 million dollars.  The jury awarded $3 million for past and future loss resulting from the wrongful death and awarded $600,000 for the past and future emotional distress of Ji Zeng.
