Attorney James Kristy is the founder and principal of The Kristy Law Firm in Huntington Beach, California. A top-rated trial attorney with more than 19 years of legal experience, Mr. Kristy represents the rights and interests of policyholders, individuals, employees and small-business owners throughout the state who have legal needs involving any of the following:

·       Insurance law

·       Medical malpractice

·       Construction law and homeowners association law

·       Employment law

After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in economics, Mr. Kristy worked for more than 20 years with some of the largest corporations in America. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in various industries, which helps him better connect with his clients and address their complex legal needs more efficiently. Although successful in his corporate career, Mr. Kristy had a driving passion for helping others, and he decided to enter the legal profession.

He then attended Whittier Law School in the evening while still working full time and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2000. While in law school, he served as the notes and comments editor and ultimately editor-in-chief of the Whittier Law Review and published an article in the journal involving the Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act.

After receiving his license to practice in 2001, Mr. Kristy joined a prominent area law firm, where he gained notable experience handling plaintiff personal injury, product liability, construction defects, wrongful death and insurance bad faith claims. He then established his own private practice in 2003 and continued to advocate on behalf of those victimized by large corporations and insurance providers. Having handled more than 100 cases, he has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for those he has served.

Highly active in his legal community, Mr. Kristy has served on the board of governors of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles since 2005. He also conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars across his region on a variety of topics. Among his other professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Consumer Attorneys of California.

Mr. Kristy is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
