Attorney Profile

As founder of the Law Office of Dinah Perez, PC, has been in the practice of entertainment law for two decades. On a daily basis, she helps creative and artistic people attain their professional goals; this fulfilling work is the reason she attended law school and why she chose entertainment law as her firm’s area of focus.

She advises her clients, negotiates their deals, reviews and drafts their contracts, forms their business entities, helps them secure trademarks, and registers their copyrights. She has handled all legal aspects of production legal, from drafting and negotiating production contracts to music clearance.  Occasionally, she even acts as a producer’s representative to find distribution for worthy films.  She has counseled both companies and individuals, such as producers, directors, writers, actors, recording artists, songwriters, managers, agents, and music publishers. Fluent in Spanish, she serves clients on a global level, including those in South America, Mexico and Spain.

Navigating the entertainment industry is overwhelming for many. Fortunately, Ms. Perez is adept at even the most complex issues, as she has spent years guiding clients through their options. She knows what to look for in agreements and how to structure contracts for optimal results. Perhaps most importantly, she is able to achieve clients’ goals while preserving their time and resources.

After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, Ms. Perez graduated with a law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.

Today, Ms. Perez is a published author and sought-after speaker. Local and national media outlets have quoted her. She is active with the Beverly Hills Bar Association, The State Bar of California, the Association of Independent Music Publishers, Film Independent, and the California Copyright Conference.
