Ms. Sweiss earned many scholarships and received the Dean’s Merit Award and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in trademark law.

At the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as an intern, Ms. Sweiss gained experience in preliminary hearings and opposition motions. While in law school, she participated in prepared accusations, administrative hearings, license revocations, and hearing opening and closing statements as a law clerk for the Bureau of Real Estate in the California Department of Consumer Affairs. At Pepperdine University School of Law Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, she finished the Dispute Resolution Program.
