    Malcolm McNeil is a partner at the national law firm of Arent Fox LLP. Based in its Los Angeles office, he represents clients throughout California and handles a variety of international matters as well. Admitted to practice in California, Mr. McNeil is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 9th and District of Columbia Circuits, the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. Court of International Trade.

    A significant portion of Mr. McNeil’s practice is devoted to complex commercial litigation. The types of matters that he had handled throughout his distinguished career have included partnership disputes, real estate, discrimination and other employment law claims, unfair competition, insurance coverage, breach of contract, landlord-tenant disputes and buy/sell agreements. Mr. McNeil’s experience has additionally encompassed sophisticated domestic and international business transactions.

    Mr. McNeil’s clients come from a wide variety of industry sectors, including aviation, import/export, manufacturing, real estate, venture capital, media and entertainment, publishing and technology. He is highly regarded by his colleagues, and one of many indications of that is his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a published author, and he has delivered presentations on topics related to his practice areas.

    After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Antioch College, Mr. McNeil went on to pursue his legal education at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and in 1983, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. He has been with Arent Fox LLP since May 2014, and he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of La Verne College of Law, where he has taught courses on international litigation and transactions.
