Yasmin Cader is a criminal defense attorney and the founder of Cader Adams Trial Lawyers LLP in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Cader is a highly respected federal criminal defense attorney who serves clients in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. She has experience with cases involving white collar crime charges, internal company investigations, allegations of fraud and other issues.

Prior to founding Cader Adams Trial Lawyers LLP, Ms. Cader worked as a trial attorney for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Her prior experience also includes serving as a trial attorney for the Federal Defenders of New York for the Southern District of New York and the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Central District of California, where she served as chief of training and assistant deputy federal public defender.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Cader has tried dozens of criminal cases in a wide variety of courtrooms. She has defended minors and adults against both misdemeanors and felonies. She also has experience with civil litigation, including cases involving harassment and discrimination.

Outside of her law practice, Ms. Cader is a faculty member at the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop and the National Criminal Defense College. She serves on the Yale Law School Association Executive Committee and has spoken at various educational institutions and bar association events.

Ms. Cader graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Howard University. She went on to earn her law degree from Yale Law School. While attending law school, she served as president of the Black Law Students Association and essays editor of the Yale Law Journal.
