    Over the course of his career, Mr. Matin has achieved notable success representing the rights and interests of clients in various industries, including banking and finance, technology, health care and real estate, as well as medical device manufacturers, legal professionals and others.

    At all turns, Mr. Matin has proven himself a tireless advocate for those he serves. He once helped secure a settlement of more than $280 million in a qui tam case involving questionable pharmaceutical industry practices, and this stands as the second largest settlement ever recorded for such as case. Mr. Matin has also helped negotiate multimillion-dollar settlements for cases involving fraud, securities violations and other matters.

    In addition, he has successfully worked to have numerous cases dismissed, including a legal malpractice claim of more than $600 million against a prominent attorney. He also obtained a dismissal of fraud, RICO and breach of fiduciary duty claims brought against two business leaders in Orange County, and he secured a release of a multimillion-dollar judgment on behalf of a major real estate developer after successfully helping to discharge his debts.

    A 2005 graduate of the University of California, Irvine, Mr. Matin attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2009. The State Bar of California admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in California, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

    Active in his legal community, Mr. Matin is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the Orange County Bar Association, among his other professional affiliations.
