Mr. Kaufman serves on the arbitration panels for the Independent Film and Television Alliance (“IFTA”) and the American Arbitration Association. He was a contributor to “The Complete Film Production Handbook”, 4th Ed., and co‑editor of two syllabi on entertainment law. He previously served on IFTA's drafting committee responsible for creating and revising its Model International Licensing Agreement, a form agreement used throughout the entertainment industry.

He is a graduate of Boston University's School of Law (1989) and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and psychology from Emory University (1986).
