From California State University, Northridge, Ms. Wickers graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a finance emphasis. She then attended Western State College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor. While in law school, she was a symposium editor and student writer for Western State’s Law Review and earned the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Property.

Ms. Wickers was given a Certificate of Distinguished Public Service while in law school and competed against a long list of other schools at the California State Bar’s Negotiation Competition, placing second. She then served as an assistant coach to the team and as a judge at American Collegiate’s Moot Court Association. In the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, she worked as a The State Bar of California Certified Law Clerk and gained experience in the Hard-Core Gang Unit.

An active member of her community, Ms. Wickers volunteers with many charitable organizations. She has received a Congressional Commendation in recognition for her community service and has also been recognized by the City of Los Angeles.  Some of the organizations she has volunteered for include Elks Lodge Redondo Beach, Orangewood Children’s Foundation, the Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach, Hope 4 Kids in San Pedro and the Relay for Life of Beach Cities for the American Cancer Society.
