Joseph Lavi

Joseph Lavi is the founding partner at Lavi & Ebrahimian, LLP, in Beverly Hills, California. He has over 20 years of experience in labor and employment law and class action and mass tort litigation. Serving clients all over California, he handles wage and hour class actions, consumer class actions, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, whistleblower and wrongful termination matters. 

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1996, Mr. Lavi earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California, further sharpening his legal knowledge. As a student articles editor for the International and Comparative Law Review, he developed a keen eye for detail, which became the trademark of his practice. Additionally, he gained a Master of Laws degree with honors in mediation from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in Malibu, California. He has been a member of The State Bar of California since 2000. 

Mr. Lavi represents clients in employment law issues at both state and federal levels, and has handled appeals in the California Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Furthermore, he is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States and all the United States District Courts in California (Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern districts).

Since founding Lavi & Ebrahimian, LLP, in 2003, Mr. Lavi has represented numerous clients in high-stakes employment and labor law matters. Through the firm, he has built a team of lawyers who are committed to helping employees protect their interests and rights. Most notably, the firm secured a landmark victory in Alvarado v. Dart Container Corp. of California, obtaining a favorable ruling from the California Supreme Court that set a critical precedent for workers across the state.
