As the founder of Berenji Law Firm, APC, Shadie Berenji provides legal representation to clients in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Ana, Irvine, Newport Beach and throughout Southern California. She focuses her practice on representing employees in labor and employment law matters, generally handling cases that involve contract negotiations, discrimination, employee rights, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues.
Before receiving a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Ms. Berenji attended the University of California Los Angeles. From there, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and political science in 2000.
Having begun her legal career representing some of the nation's largest employers with a prominent employment law firm, Ms. Berenji gained valuable knowledge about how employers view employment dispute claims. In her private practice, she draws on this experience to help her aggressively advocate on behalf of employees who have had their rights violated. Ms. Berenji has achieved high rates of success in helping her clients to obtain favorable resolutions to their legal issues.
In order to best serve her clients, Ms. Berenji is admitted to practice law in the state of California, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

- I obtained a $9,461,000.00 verdict in a disability discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit. After my client devoted nearly 27 exemplary years of work to WestRock Services, LLC and its predecessors, he was wrongfully terminated during his medical leave of absence and after he submitted a return-to-work medical note that requested an accommodation for his mental disability that was caused by his perception of being subjected to adverse treatment in the workplace, which the employer refused to address. While my client was on leave, his position was eliminated. When my client returned from protected leave, he was terminated rather than being placed in one of the 60+ open positions for which he was well qualified, which existed on the date of his termination. Defendant took the position that once my client’s position was eliminated, the employer had no duty to engage in the interactive process or to return my client to a comparable position. , 2023
