Stephen King is the founder and principal trial lawyer at Kings Justice Law in Beverly Hills, California. With a practice spanning civil rights, insurance bad faith and personal injury law, he represents clients throughout California, bringing extensive courtroom experience to complex legal matters.
Mr. King has established an impressive litigation record, with over 100 jury trials to verdict with remarkable success. Beyond courtroom victories, he has negotiated substantial settlements for his clients, including a recent $3 million resolution in a wrongful death case involving the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. His advocacy has earned him recognition as one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.
In 2015, Mr. King led a trial team that secured a landmark $40 million noneconomic wrongful death verdict in Riverside County. His other notable victories include a $1.1 million verdict against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for constitutional violations and a $3.1 million verdict against the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services in 2016.
Mr. King serves as an instructor at the Gerry Spence Method and Trial Lawyers University programs, sharing his trial techniques with fellow attorneys. His leadership extends to professional organizations, having served as president of the John M. Langston Bar Association, the largest African American bar association in Southern California. He also holds executive board positions with the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities and the California Association of Black Lawyers.
Graduating with his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law and Public Service in 2002, where he received the Student of Distinction Award, Mr. King began practicing law in 2003 and maintains active memberships in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (the Boule). The Los Angeles Business Journal has listed him as the Most Influential Minority Attorney in the region.
