  • Barsegyan v. Torabian - Mr. Buus represented a securities broker-dealer in a FINRA arbitration in which the client alleged another broker-dealer wrongfully failed and refused to pay her share of commissions owed from certain investment transactions.  After the hearing, the arbitrator awarded Mr. Buus's client her share of the commissions, 2018
  • Boulter v. Boulter - Mr. Buus represented a shareholder who was accused by another shareholder of misappropriating millions of dollars of corporate assets.  After trial, the court found in favor of Mr. Buus's client, who was completely exhonerated of all wrongdoing, 2017
  • Quoc Viet Foods v. VV Foods - Mr. Buus represented a large soup manufacturer against another soup manufacturer for trademark infringement.  At trial, the jury found that the client's trademark was valid and infringed and that the defendant infringed the trademark.  Ultimately, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld that verdict, 2016
  • Universal Products v. Omega Products: a $500,000 jury verdict in a breach of contract case in which a pool plaster supplier sued a manufacture for selling defective pool plaster product to the supplier, 2015
