Attorney Profile

In 2016-2019, I secured several judgments and negotiated favorable settlements for millions in commercial and residential unlawful detainer matters for various clients.

In 2015, I secured a judgment for $1,500,000 in a securities fraud case on behalf of numerous investors in a roofing company, and in 2016 successfully opposed a motion to set aside that judgment.

In 2010, I prevailed on a critical Motion for Summary Adjudication and then secured a victory for my national relocation company client in a 3-month bench trial in a residential real estate non-disclosure and rescission case.

Further, in 2009, I was re-elected to the Board of Trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association for a second 2-year term.

In late 2008, I secured a major victory for our client, and the entire moving and storage industry, in the matter of White v. Mayflower Transit LLC.  The decision is very important for its discussion of the preemptive breadth of the Carmack Amendment to the Interstate Commerce Act (49 U.S.C. 14706), the burden of proof placed on a party seeking to vacate an arbitration award under the Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA").  The 9th Circuit also reached, and resolved, a matter of first impression in holding that claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress are preempted by Carmack.  Further, in 2008, I was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and named the co-chair of the litigation and business law sections.

Also, in 2007, I secured a vjury trial victory in a $2,000,000 real estate fraud case for a national relocation company client.
