Details
Kimberly A. Ahrens is an attorney with nearly 20 years of experience getting clients the justice they deserve for suffering a traumatic experience at the workplace. The founder of Ahrens Law, APC, in San Diego, California, she handles a vast host of employment law matters, ranging from employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, medical leave, severance agreements and LGBTQ+ employment issues.
Ms. Ahrens graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from San Diego State University in 2003. She then went on to attend the California Western School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2006. The same year she graduated from law school, she also obtained her license to practice in California.
A true advocate for those who face discrimination in the workplace and in general, Ms. Ahrens has made it her mission to seek out accountability for those who are prejudiced and make the workplace toxic and inhospitable. Rated an impressive “Superb” on Avvo, she has gained the adulation of her peers for her dedication to her clients’ causes and the unbreakable work ethic that makes complex cases one of regular pedigree.
When not advocating immensely for the civil rights of her clients, Ms. Ahrens stays closely affiliated with a variety of important organizations, including the San Diego County Bar Association, the Tom Homann LGBTQ+ Law Association (former co-president, secretary and board member), the Lawyers Club (former vice president of membership and policy), the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and the San Diego Superior Court Anti-Bias and Legal Equality Committee.
