Christopher M. Engels

Christopher M. Engels is an attorney at the law firm Engels-Janzen located in Costa Mesa, California. With more than six years of experience in the field of law, his practice areas include family law, business law and civil litigation, and construction law and contract review.

Graduating with dean’s list honors, Mr. Engels has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, emphasizing on operations management, and with a minor in economics from Washington State University. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Northwestern California University School of Law with an aim to fight for those who go through the anguish that family law matters can bring. 

Through his personal experience as a child, Mr. Engels understands how distressing it can be to be a victim of domestic violence, fully aware of how the system is. He also knows how overwhelming it is to be divorced and away from one’s children. All of this contributes to him being able to empathize with his clients firsthand and providing the most efficient legal services to them.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he launched a general contracting company, focusing on restaurant construction and lavish single-family house construction and remodeling. Owning his own construction business also helps him represent clients with their business law and construction law matters efficiently and cost-effectively.
