Marcelo A. Dieguez

As a partner with Diefer Law Group, P.C.,  Marcelo A. Dieguez serves clients throughout California. He focuses his law practice exclusively on employment law, with a particular interest in cases involving sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination and wrongful termination. He also represents clients who have claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Mr. Dieguez was an honors graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned his law degree from Loyola Law School at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, graduating in 2002. During law school, he served for Honorable Paul Boland in Los Angeles Superior Court and subsequently at the California Courts of Appeal.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Dieguez is active in several professional organizations, including the California Employment Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the State Bar of California's Labor and Employment Law Section.

Mr. Dieguez has written many articles about such employment law matters as workplace sexual harassment, unlawful actions in job interviews and alternative dispute resolution methods for employment-related disputes. He has also presented lectures and seminars for professional organizations, and regularly appears on news shows to discuss employment matters, including on CBS News, ABC, Univision, Galavision, and Estrella TV.

His accomplishments have earned Mr. Dieguez honors and recognition in the legal profession. Mr. Dieguez has tried cases both in State and Federal Courts. 

The American Society of Legal Advocates named him to its list of the top labor and employment lawyers under age 40 in California. The attorney rating service Avvo gave him its Client's Choice Award in 2012 and 2013 in honor of his excellent reviews from clients. OC METRO Magazine named him to its list of top employment lawyers in 2014.
