Joseph Avrahamy

Joseph Avrahamy is the founding attorney of The Law Offices of Joseph Y. Avrahamy, based in Encino, California. He concentrates his practice on employment litigation, civil rights and personal injury, representing clients in matters such as sexual harassment, failure-to-accommodate claims, national origin discrimination, First Amendment retaliation, gender bias, wrongful termination and religious discrimination. Mr. Avrahamy graduated from Loyola Law School and brings over 25 years of civil litigation experience. A defining victory came in 2005 when three police officers retained his services to challenge the City of Los Angeles in a federal civil rights lawsuit. After a three-week trial, Mr. Avrahamy persuaded a unanimous jury to award $15,000,003 – one of the largest civil rights verdicts against the city – which also exposed misconduct within municipal agencies. He has achieved numerous other successes. He has also earned a “Very Good” rating on Avvo.
