- $850,000.00 recovered on behalf of estate beneficiary at mediation against a substantially younger second wife who committed financial elder abuse, 2018
- The deceased husband's estranged half-siblings came out of the woodwork to lay claim to the husband's estate, alleging among other things the will did not contain the deceased's signature. Abbas hired a handwriting expert and convinced the court that it was the husband's intent to leave his estate to his wife and that the signature on the will was authentic. - Husband's children from a prior marriage sought to claim an intestate interest in the trust despite the husband leaving a will demonstrating a testamentary intent to leave his entire estate to his wife of 20 years. The children argued the property at issue was the husband's separate property, which they were entitled to. Husband's children refused to settle at mediation.
