Attorney Edward J. Rutyna is now with Solution Law in Fountain Valley, California where he is a member of a group of seasoned litigation attorneys. A highly seasoned trial attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Rutyna focuses his practice almost exclusively on  personal injury and workers' compensation law.

Along with having tried more than 200 workers' compensation cases as well as trying  civil cases in Superior Court, he has successfully authored and presented more than 20 appellate briefs before the California courts of appeal. Through his efforts and successes for helping workers recover the compensation they deserve, he has become one of the leading workers' compensation attorneys in the region, and he has earned top ratings on Avvo, an AV Pre-eminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell,  and other peer- and client-reviewed sources for his impeccable professionalism and service.

A 1982 magna cum laude  graduate of Boston College, Mr. Rutyna then studied at George Washington University National Law Center, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1985. After interning at the Huntington Beach City Attorney's office and admittance to  The State Bar of California in 1986, and he served as a Deputy City Attorney for two years. He then worked in private practice,  first with a now-defunct workers' compensation defense firm from 1988-1996 handling both workers' compensation and civil litigation, and then had his own office from 1996-2005. Mr. Rutyna continued to serve the City of Huntington Beach as an outside counsel from 1989-2003. In 2005, he decided to further his education and enrolled at Chapman University School of Law and earned his Master of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation degree in 2007.

Following this, Mr. Rutyna worked as an insurance defense attorney for two prominent insurance carriers. This experience provided him with invaluable insight into the industry, which helps him build the strongest cases possible for his plaintiff injury clients.

Along with maintaining a successful legal practice, Mr. Rutyna is currently a judge pro tem with the Long Beach District Office's Division of Workers’ Compensation and previously volunteered as a judge pro tem in Orange County Municipal Court for traffic and small claims court. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section and has been involved in several homeowners' associations. He holds a Superb rating on Avvo.com for workers' compensation, an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell,  and he has received numerous other awards for his professionalism and service.
