Amanda Whitten

Fresno, California, employment law attorney Amanda Whitten is a partner at the law firm of Bryant Whitten, LLP. She has been fighting for employees in and around Bakersfield, Sacramento and Oakland against unfair treatment at work, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment and labor law issues.

Defending her Central Valley clients’ employment rights in state and federal courts, Ms. Whitten has recovered millions of dollars in settlements against large corporations such as Starbucks, Cingular, Verizon, Target and Microsoft. With an unwavering passion for enforcing employees’ rights, she exercises her technical knowledge to successfully gather electronic evidence that has proven conclusive in many cases. 

Admitted to practice in the state of California, Ms. Whitten appears in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on a regular basis. She holds memberships in organizations such as The State Bar of California, the California Employment Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Fresno County Bar Association.

A firm believer in giving back to her community, she serves as an attorney coach for the Coalinga High School Mock Trial Team. She served as a board member of Sierra Challenge Express, a nonprofit running club dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle, and as a volunteer marathon coach.

Ms. Whitten completed her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in political science and criminology at the California State University, Fresno, where she received Smittcamp Family Honors College’s President’s Honors Scholarship. Later, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California Davis School of Law.
