Christopher M. Rusca is an accomplished attorney at Rusca & Rusca Law, in Fresno, California, whose multidisciplinary academic background and commitment to service have shaped a career devoted to helping individuals navigate challenging legal situations. A proud alumnus of Sanger High School, Mr. Rusca went on to graduate from The Smittcamp Family Honors College at California State University, Fresno, having earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in accountancy and a minor in economics. Demonstrating a passion for both business and law, he furthered his education at Santa Clara University, completing a dual graduate program that conferred upon him both a Master of Business Administration (with a focus on accounting) and a Juris Doctor in 2009.
Upon entering the legal profession, Mr. Rusca began his career at a prominent civil litigation firm, where he gained practical experience across a variety of legal domains. This early exposure to diverse case types laid a strong foundation for his legal acumen. In October 2010, he joined his family’s law practice, working alongside his parents and turning his attention primarily to family law. He found deep purpose in this dynamic area, where he has guided clients through complex, often emotionally charged matters such as divorce, custody and support. His dedication to advancing the family law profession led to his appointment as Chair of the Fresno County Bar Association’s Family Law Section in 2013. Seeking to enrich his legal knowledge, Mr. Rusca joined a prominent local employment law firm working as a partner at that firm until 2024, when he rejoined his parents at Rusca & Rusca Law.
In 2022, Mr. Rusca was elected to the Fresno County Bar Association Board of Directors. Mr. Rusca has also served on the the Fresno County Bar Association Executive Board as the First Vice President in 2024, the President Elect in 2025, and is slated to be the President in 2026.
Mr. Rusca volunteers in the community in various capacities. Since 2020, Mr. Rusca has been on the Board of Directors for Fresno Humane Animal Services providing various services for animals in and around Fresno County, and since 2023, Mr. Rusca has been on the Board of Directors for the Bulldog Foundation which provides scholarship opportunities for Fresno State athletics.
Mr. Rusca has also contributed to the community through education, joining the faculty at Fresno City College in 2012 as a part-time professor in the Paralegal Program’s Family Law class. In addition to his primary focus on family law, he continues to handle select civil litigation cases, including personal injury, reflecting his broad legal experience. Clients and colleagues alike recognize him for his compassionate approach and steadfast commitment to those in need, particularly individuals facing family law crises. In 2016, Mr. Rusca was recognized as by Business Street as a 40 Under 40, and he has been recognized for his professional merits with a “Very Good” on Avvo.
