Sally Vecchiarelli

Sally Vecchiarelli is the esteemed founder of Proper Defense Law Corporation, with the firm’s offices strategically located in Fresno and Beverly Hills, California. Operating primarily from the Fresno office, she adeptly represents clients in both locales, focusing on a diverse range of criminal defense areas, including DUI/DWI, cybercrime, manslaughter, murder, violent crimes, juvenile defense, white collar crimes, domestic violence, and drug and weapon possession.

Ms. Vecchiarelli's academic credentials are impressive. She graduated magna cum laude from The California State University with a Bachelor of Science degree (2011) in criminology and forensic behavioral science. She furthered her education at San Joaquin College of Law, where she was the editor-in-chief of the San Joaquin Agricultural Law Review and received multiple scholarships and accolades during her tenure there.

Ms. Vecchiarelli received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in legal analysis, real property law and remedies during her law studies. She was also a finalist for Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate positions in the George Hopper Moot Court Competition and secured the Outstanding Individual Oral Achievement title in the Roger J. Traynor California Appellate Moot Court Competition.

Upon completing her law degree with distinction in 2015 and gaining admission to The State Bar of California, Ms. Vecchiarelli honed her knowledge in criminal defense during a three-year tenure at a reputable Fresno-based law firm. Driven by a deep-seated passion for justice and influenced by her parents, who are also criminal defense attorneys, she is dedicated to advocating for clients who have been unjustly accused or convicted, striving to secure their rightful second chances.

Ms. Vecchiarelli is an active member of the legal community, involved with the Fresno County Women Lawyers, the Fresno County Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College for DUI Defense and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Furthermore, she is dedicated to her community, participating in various organizations, such as Saint Agnes Medical Center Women’s Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center.
