Allen Felahy, the principal attorney at Felahy Employment Lawyers, stands at the forefront of California employment law, guiding workers through the toughest disputes with unwavering dedication and razor-sharp competence. Based in Glendale, he has not only shaped trial procedure and anti-harassment standards across the state but has also secured justice for employees in every corner of the workplace spectrum – from wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation to discrimination, harassment, wage and overtime claims. With more than 1,000 matters resolved and a nearly perfect success rate, he earns his reputation as a legal strategist who consistently uncovers high-value cases – and then delivers.
Recent successes include a 2024 trial verdict and judgment for nearly $2,000,000.00 for a employee who sued the County of Los Angeles for whistleblower retaliation, and a $5,750,000.00 class action settlement reported in the Daily Journal in 2025
When the stakes demand the courtroom’s full spotlight, Mr. Felahy’s record remains formidable: He has won 19 of 20 trials, a 95% trial success rate which is an elite success rate for a trial attorney. Over the past five years, his settlements and awards have averaged more than $250,000, underlining his knack for recognizing the strength of a claim and steering it toward maximum recovery. His peers and judges turn to him for insight – he contributes regularly to the California Continuing Education of the Bar Guide for Wage and Hour Law, and he’s an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association as well as the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
A Los Angeles native, Mr. Felahy built his foundations at Occidental College (B.S., 1994) and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (J.D., 1997) and has upheld his California license since graduation. In and out of the courtroom, he’s a compassionate advocate, who couples rigorous legal analysis with genuine concern for his clients’ well-being. Hailed by colleagues for a client-first philosophy and honored with Avvo’s “Excellent” rating, he delivers not just legal victories but also reassurance and support through every twist and turn of the employment-law journey.

Pro bono / Community Service
- In 2016 we represented a criminal defendant in a pro-bono matter in which the defendant was accused of assault, terrorist threats and vandalism [People vs. Duarte]. Prior to stepping in shortly before trial, the defendant was advised by the Public Defender to accept a Plea Bargain which would have resulted in 6 months of jail time. We advised the defendant to reject the offer and prepared the case for trial, subpoened documents, witnesses and marshalled evidence which undermined the Prosecution's case. Shortly before trial, the Prosecution substantially improved the offer and the case was resolved for a $200.00 fine with no jail time.
- People vs. Duarte (2016) [Party represented: Defendant] - Took over criminal defense from Public Defender who recommended a 6-month jail sentence as a plea bargain to the Defendant. Case involved allegations of assault, vandalism, and terrorist threats against Lorraine Jobs, widow of internet mogul Steve Jobs. After several months of aggressive litigation and investigative work, a plea was reached for a $200.00 fine with no jail time.
