Art Gharibian founded Gharibian Law, APC, with the core principle of #RespectYourElders, committed to protecting the rights of elderly and dependent adults who are vulnerable to abuse and neglect. His dedicated legal team focuses on litigating against nursing homes and assisted living facilities for elder abuse, neglect, and wrongful death, taking on tough cases to offer support and justice to victims and their families during some of their most difficult times.
Before founding Gharibian Law, APC, Art served as a staff attorney for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He later became an associate attorney at a national, full-service defense firm, where he was part of the largest Long-Term Care & Elder Law department in the Western United States. His extensive experience defending healthcare providers gives him unique insight and expertise in prosecuting elder abuse, neglect, and wrongful death claims, allowing him to bring a fresh, highly effective approach to every case.
Throughout his career, Art has earned a reputation as a dedicated client advocate and skilled attorney. He was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2016 to 2022 and recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2023 to 2025. He was also named to the “Southern California Rising Stars Up-and-Coming 100” list in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Art is involved with several organizations, including California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR), which has been dedicated to improving the care and quality of life for California’s long-term care consumers since 1983. Art’s involvement with CANHR demonstrates his commitment to ensuring that California’s elder care facilities meet the highest standards of care and accountability. His affiliation with the organization aligns with his law firm's mission to fight for justice on behalf of vulnerable adults who have suffered mistreatment or neglect in long-term care settings.
A Los Angeles native and proud of his Armenian heritage, Art is a father of three boys and a daughter. His background informs his sensitivity and commitment to serving people in an increasingly multicultural society.
