Attorney Na'il Benjamin is the managing partner of Benjamin Law Group, which has law offices in Hayward and Los Angeles, California. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Benjamin played football each of his four years there, breaking several school records and earning an All Pac-10 ranking as a kick returner and wide receiver. He then enjoyed a successful career in the NFL, playing for the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49s as well as the New York Jets and the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe.
Following his retirement from the NFL, Mr. Benjamin worked for a major Fortune 500 company, and he established several successful businesses, including an investment and management company, a real estate company, and a trucking and brokerage company. These experiences provide him with a wealth of insight and knowledge he uses to deliver the highest level of counsel possible as he assists his commercial clients with establishing, organizing and operating their own commercial enterprises.
Through his employment law practice, Mr. Benjamin has achieved equal success advocating on behalf of those employees who have suffered serious violations of their rights as workers. From his efforts, he has secured numerous substantial settlements and verdicts for his plaintiff clients, earning his memberships in the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.
Mr. Benjamin obtained his Juris Doctor form University of California Hastings College of the Law in 2005, and he has practiced before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit as well as before various state and federal labor and relations administrative agencies. He is also a highly active member of his legal community, serving on the board of the California Association of Black Lawyers and the Charles Houston Bar Association.
Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Benjamin has also maintained active involvement in local, state and national politics, assisting with fundraising efforts for Barack Obama’s first presidential race as well as for California Attorney General Kamala Harris.
