Tyson W. Kovash

A highly regarded civil litigation attorney, Tyson W. Kovash is the founder of The Law Offices of Tyson W. Kovash. Located in Huntington Beach, California, he provides representation to clients in Orange and Los Angeles counties and throughout the state. Mr. Kovash has handled both individual and class action lawsuits on behalf of defendants that have involved federal statutes such as the Truth in Lending Act of 1968, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974. His state cases have arisen under a variety of California laws, including the California Homeowner Bill of Rights, Section 17200 of the Business and Professions Code, and other consumer protection statutes.

Mr. Kovash's real estate litigation clients have included large banks and other financial institutions as well as real estate developers and homeowners associations in cases involving lien priority, title disputes, lienholders' rights and similar matters. His business litigation practice has encompassed breach of contract lawsuits, premises liability defense, insurance coverage, permitting and debt collections.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Kovash attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where he majored in business administration and received a Bachelor of Science in 2005. He then enrolled at the Gonzaga University School of Business Administration and obtained his Master of Business Administration in 2007. Deciding to pursue a legal education, Mr. Kovash relocated to California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. He was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2011. After graduation, he was an associate with the Long Beach office of an international law firm until starting his own practice in July 2017. Mr. Kovash is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
