Brian Seastrom

Brian Seastrom is the President of Seastrom Tuttle Murphy Dockstader, in Irvine, California. A California Certified Family Law Specialist with more than two decades of experience, Mr. Seastrom focuses his practice on complex, high-net-worth divorce and family law matters. His clients include business owners, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and executives whose divorces involve multi-entity business structures, significant real estate holdings, sophisticated compensation and equity arrangements, and substantial marital estates requiring strategic and creative resolution.

Mr. Seastrom is both a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), placing him among a select group of attorneys recognized at the highest levels of the profession both nationally and internationally. He was named Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" for Family Law Mediation, and has been recognized as a Top 5 Family Law attorney in Southern California, a Top 50 attorney in Orange County, and a Top 100 attorney in Southern California by Super Lawyers.

Mr. Seastrom brings a practitioner-level understanding of his clients' financial worlds to both the courtroom and the mediation table, allowing him to develop creative settlement structures that protect business operations, key relationships, and privacy while achieving equitable outcomes.

Mr. Seastrom has served on the State Bar of California's Family Law Legal Specialization Commission for over five years, including a term as Chair, where he was responsible for drafting and grading the certification exams for attorneys seeking the Family Law Specialist designation. He has also served as a Commissioner on California's Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation, advising the Governor on candidates for the judiciary. Additionally, he served as President of the Orange County Bar Association's Family Law Section and on the board of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County.

He is a speaker before the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, and the Orange County Bar Association on topics including the cross-examination of financial experts, complex business valuation in divorce, real estate complex structures and transactions in divorce, and the courtroom technology during trial in family law practice.

Mr. Seastrom earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, from Loyola Marymount University. He has been licensed in California since 2002.
