Ms. Galuppo’s litigation career spans more than two decades, providing her with extensive experience to handle all aspects of complex litigation. She is highly skilled in resolving high-stakes business and real estate disputes, representing public and private companies, as well as high-net-worth individuals. Her practice focuses on business, commercial, securities, environmental, and real estate-related litigation, including both complex and straightforward civil matters.
Her experience began in law school as an extern with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and as a summer associate at a leading plaintiffs-side class action securities litigation firm. After graduation, Ms. Galuppo joined Stroock & Stroock & Lavan in New York, where she was an integral member of the fraud and complex insurance coverage litigation practice group. She specialized in securities and fraud litigation, complex insurance coverage defense, class actions, derivative actions, SEC investigations, and related coverage advice.
Following five years at Stroock, Ms. Galuppo practiced for 14 years with Cox, Castle & Nicholson, handling a broad range of commercial and real estate-related disputes. She developed deep expertise in real estate litigation and successfully combined her securities and real estate experience to handle complex matters, including nearly a decade of condo-hotel litigation in San Diego state and federal courts.
Ms. Galuppo litigates matters in both federal and state courts across California and other U.S. jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, all California state courts, and the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
She personally manages all aspects of her cases and is recognized by clients for her timely communication, sound legal advice, ability to anticipate opposing counsel, and strategic approach to litigation. Ms. Galuppo has been a key trial team member in multi-million-dollar, multi-week trials in both federal and state courts, including a four-month jury trial in Orange County Superior Court and a three-week federal trial in the Central District of California. She has also handled numerous arbitration hearings and international matters involving complex insurance coverage for clients in Germany, Australia, and England.
Ms. Galuppo’s practice includes appeals and writs before the Ninth Circuit and California appellate courts. She has managed all aspects of appellate briefing and has personally argued before both the Ninth Circuit and the California appellate courts.
Ms. Galuppo earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she served as Vice President of the Moot Court Board, founded the National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, and competed as a member of the Appellate Advocacy Team in New York. She was also an extern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a member of Inns of Court. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University.
