Marc Garelick is the founder and managing partner of Garelick Family Law, PC, in Irvine, California. He dedicates his practice exclusively to family law. With more than 17 years of experience representing clients throughout California, he is known for his skill in handling complex and high-conflict cases involving divorce, custody, visitation, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and paternity proceedings.
Mr. Garelick regularly represents high-asset and high-income individuals in contested family law disputes. He has particular experience in valuing businesses and addressing the division and characterization of community and separate property assets. His ability to navigate the intricate financial and personal issues that arise in family law matters has earned him recognition as one of the leading practitioners in Orange County and across the state.
Active in the legal community, Mr. Garelick previously served on the Executive Committee of the Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and continues to be engaged as a member of the American Bar Association and the Orange County Jewish Bar Association. His civic and philanthropic engagement includes service on the boards of the Jewish Federation & Family Services, the Jewish National Fund, and Orange County Hillel. He was honored with the Blossom Siegel Young Leadership Award by JFFS in recognition of his community leadership.
Mr. Garelick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in cognitive psychology, with a minor in classical history, from the University of California, Irvine. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, where he founded a voluntary income tax assistance program to provide pro bono tax preparation for low-income individuals.
