Frank A. Bottini

Francis (“Frank”) A. Bottini, Jr. specializes in representing plaintiffs in complex securities, antitrust, and consumer class action litigation, as well as shareholder derivative litigation. Some of his representative cases include Justice John Trotter (Ret.), Trustee of the PG&E Fire Victim Trust v. Williams et al., Lead Case No. CGC-17-562591, where Mr. Bottini was one of the attorneys retained by Justice Trotter on behalf of the PG&E Fire Victim Trust to assert claims against various former officers and directors of PG&E Corporation, and where a settlement of $117 million was reached just a few months before trial was set to commence; Wilhoite v. Xiaodi Hou (In re TuSimple Shareholder Derivative Litig.), Case No. 3:23-cv-02333-BEN-MSB (S.D. Cal.), where  Bottini & Bottini was Co-Lead Counsel for the plaintiffs and a $42.5 million settlement was achieved as well as a preliminary injunction barring the Company's CEO from transferring IP to China; In re Snap, Inc. Securities Cases, JCCP No. 4960 (Superior Court for the State of California, County of Los Angeles), where Bottini & Bottini served as co-lead counsel in a shareholder class action relating to Snap’s IPO and where in 2020 the case and a related action in federal court settled for a combined $187.5 million;  In re Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. Deriv. Litig., Case No. 05-02233 (N.D. Cal.), where Mr. Bottini was retained as co-counsel to the company's Special Litigation Committee to pursue stock option backdating claims against former officers and directors of the company; and In re DRAM Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 1486 (N.D. Cal.), where Mr. Bottini was one of two lead partners for his prior firm (Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP) on the case, which settled for $325,997,000 after five years of litigation in one of the largest and most complex civil antitrust class actions in the country.
