Beth Gunn, co-founder of Gunn Coble LLP in Los Angeles, California, is a dedicated advocate for employees whose rights have been violated in the workplace. She concentrates her practice on employment matters, including equal pay, class actions, harassment and whistleblower cases. She focuses her career on fighting for the equity and dignity promised by the law, especially for women and other groups historically denied equal treatment.
Before establishing Gunn Coble LLP, Ms. Gunn practiced as a shareholder at a national employment defense law firm, where she gained invaluable insight into how employers make decisions and address workplace issues. She now leverages that perspective to benefit her clients, representing employees in a wide variety of industries and at every stage of litigation, from presuit counseling through arbitration, trial and appeal. In addition to complex class-action litigation, she also maintains a high-level practice before the California and federal courts of appeal.
Ms. Gunn’s legal foundation is rooted in academic excellence and a deep commitment to social justice. She earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served on the Columbia Law Review. She clerked for a prominent judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, learning firsthand about equity and justice from the first African-American jurist to sit on that bench. She received her B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross, a Jesuit institution known for its dedication to service.
Growing up as the only girl among five brothers, Ms. Gunn developed boldness, strategic thinking and resilience, qualities she has spent nearly two decades channeling into her legal practice. She brings creativity, practical savvy and tireless resolve to each case, pursuing meaningful results for employees while advancing social justice through her work.
