Mr. Panish is consistently appointed to serve in a leadership role in some of the largest personal injury cases in California and the country. He currently serves as Plaintiffs' Co-Lead Counsel in the Social Media Cases which involves minors harmed or driven to suicide by social media algorithms and serves as Plaintiffs' Co-Lead Counsel in the Southern California Fire and Woolsey Fire cases. Mr. Panish previously served as Plaintiffs' Lead Trial Counsel in the Southern California Gas Leak Cases where he led a team of attorneys in obtaining a $1.8 billion settlement with Southern California Gas Company and Sempra Energy. His leadership roles have also included significant cases such as the Asiana Airlines Crash Litigation, the Olympus Superbug CRE Litigation and the DePuy ASR Hip Implant Litigation.
Mr. Panish’s proficiency in personal injury, wrongful death, mass torts and product liability cases has led to his appointment on the Plaintiffs’ Steering and Executive Committees in numerous high-profile mass torts and major disaster cases.
