Jennifer A. Clingo

Jennifer Clingo is dedicated to advocating on behalf of employees in a wide array of workplace disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, pregnancy discrimination, violations of the Labor Code, and federal and state medical leave laws. She represents employees in both individual cases and class actions. 

Ms. Clingo graduated from Tulane Law School in New Orleans in 2001. She was licensed that year to practice in Louisiana and in 2002, she passed the California bar exam. Following her admission to the California State Bar, Ms. Clingo relocated to Los Angeles. She worked at a large civil law firm, primarily handling business litigation and intellectual property. In 2009, she joined a prestigious boutique employment law firm in Century City, where she discovered her passion for advocating for the rights of California workers. 

Clingo Law Group was formed in 2014 and has since handled hundreds of matters, including representation of employees facing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Based on her own personal journey, Ms. Clingo's practice has also focused and litigated a large number of disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, and medical leave cases. She strongly believes that those with a medical condition, physical or mental disability, or pregnancy should not face workplace discrimination based on such conditions, vigorously fighting against employers' bias against accommodating employees. Ms. Clingo has also represented numerous women in the aftermath of the #metoo movement in cases involving sexual harassment and sexual assault. 

In 2021, Ms. Clingo passed yet another bar exam and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar.  She is currently licensed in to practice law in in both California and Oregon, and she holds admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California. She is also pending admission to the Washington State Bar, and represents clients in all three states along the West Coast. 

Ms. Clingo is also an active participant in the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA).
