Julia R. Matzenger

Julia Rose Matzenger is an associate attorney at Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP, in Los Angeles, California. Her practice is devoted entirely to family law. She represents clients facing sensitive and often high-stakes matters such as divorce, custody and child relocation, approaching each case with a balance of empathy and strategic advocacy.

A California native, Ms. Matzenger completed her undergraduate studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. She then returned to the West Coast to earn her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and also received a certificate in dispute resolution from the university’s renowned Straus Institute. 

Ms. Matzenger began her legal career in civil litigation after being admitted to the State Bar of California. The role gave her significant courtroom exposure and taught her how to tailor legal strategies to address the personal concerns of her clients. Wanting to focus more directly on issues that impact families, she transitioned to family law and practiced with several well-regarded firms in Los Angeles before joining Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP.

Ms. Matzenger’s commitment to family law traces back to her time at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. While completing her legal education, she worked with the National Network to End Domestic Violence on its WomensLaw Project in Washington, D.C. There, she provided vital assistance to individuals in crisis, responding to urgent questions from survivors of domestic abuse and others navigating custody or divorce. Even after graduating, she continued to volunteer with the organization for more than a year, demonstrating her dedication to serving those in vulnerable circumstances.

Ms. Matzenger now applies her diverse background and deep passion for family law to help clients through life’s most challenging transitions, guiding them with both legal skill and genuine compassion.
