Latanya Sewell

Latanya Sewell is a Los Angeles, California, family law attorney and the owner of the Law Office of Latanya Sewell. Ms. Sewell represents clients throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area in matters involving divorce, custody, paternity, premarital agreements, postnuptial agreements, property division, restraining orders and other issues. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Sewell spent over a decade as a family law paralegal. This experience gave her a deep knowledge of many issues in family law even before she went to law school. She draws upon that experience today in order to bring her clients high-quality legal representation with a personalized approach. 

Ms. Sewell understands the difficult time her clients are going through and guides them through each stage of the legal process, working toward the best possible resolution. Over the course of her years in practice, she has achieved successful outcomes in many complex cases. 

An aggressive and passionate litigator, Ms. Sewell will fight for her clients in the courtroom. Additionally, she uses alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation, whenever possible, for clients who desire a less adversarial approach to resolving their family law matter. 

Ms. Sewell earned her law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. While attending law school, she was a member of the dean’s list and received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence. Following law school graduation, she passed the California bar examination and obtained her license to practice law before all California state courts. She is an active member of the Los Angeles Young Lawyers Association.
