Lauren A. Ungs is the managing partner at Lemon Law Help by Knight Law Group, based in Los Angeles, California, where she leads a dynamic team focused on litigating cases concerning auto manufacturer fraud and violations of the California lemon law. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to justice and consumer rights, steering her team through complex legal landscapes with a steady hand.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Chapman University with magna cum laude honors, Ms. Ungs pursued her legal education at Southwestern Law School. There, she participated in the rigorous two-year SCALE program, also graduating magna cum laude. During law school, she had also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Patrick J. Walsh at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Under Ms. Ungs’ direction, her team has achieved significant victories in high-profile cases that have had a substantial impact on consumer protection. Among these are the landmark cases against Ford Motor Company regarding the sale of Super Duty trucks with a notoriously faulty 6.0-liter diesel engine and the widespread issues with the Ford Focus and Fiesta's defective transmissions. Both cases highlighted her ability to handle large-scale litigation that addresses fundamental consumer concerns.
Furthermore, Ms. Ungs played a crucial role in litigating against various auto manufacturers for their use of Takata airbags, which were found to have life-threatening defects. Her efforts also extended to challenging Fiat Chrysler Automobiles regarding the sale of vehicles with defective power modules that compromised driver safety.
Ms. Ungs is not only a formidable litigator but also a passionate advocate for consumer rights. Her work has not only resulted in significant trial and settlement victories but has also helped shape the landscape of consumer protection law in California.
