Max Draitser

A highly regarded personal injury and wrongful death litigation attorney who now focuses his practice primarily on bicycle accidents, Max Draitser is the founder of Max Draitser - Southern California Bicycle Attorneys. Mr. Draitser is admitted to practice before all California state courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Draitser has been able to obtain numerous sizable negotiated settlements as well as jury awards on behalf of his clients. The types of bicycle cases that he now handles have arisen out of such instances as automobile-bike collisions as well as those involving governmental liability. These latter matters have included potholes, bike path hazards and inadequate signage. In addition to his bicycle clients, Mr. Draitser has assisted people who have been harmed in other types of incidents, including slips and falls in stores and on sidewalks as well as motor vehicle crashes. One of his notable recoveries on behalf of a client was in an injury action where a tree owned by a municipality fell on his client and caused life-altering injuries and resulted in a $1,750,000 settlement.  In another wrongful death action based on premises liability, Mr. Draitser successfully negotiated a $950,000 award despite very challenging liability. As an undergraduate, Mr. Draitser attended the University of California, San Diego, and he received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology in 1996. He then went on to pursue his legal education at the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2000. An avid cyclist, Mr. Draitser is a supporter of several organizations devoted to bicycle safety.
