Patrick E. Bailey

Patrick E. Bailey heads the plaintiffs' personal injury and business law firm Bailey & Partners in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Bailey concentrates his practice on complex high-stakes matters with a focus on aviation law, aviation accidents and disasters, carbon monoxide poisoning, auto, trucking and mass transit accidents, defective products, brain injury, dog bites, business law and litigation, personal injury and wrongful death cases. In particular, he has extensive experience with cases involving plane and helicopter crashes, traumatic brain injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning, product liability, injuries from pharmaceuticals, wrongful termination/whistleblower and insurance bad faith. He has also handled several multimillion dollar aircraft completion cases for international parties.

An experienced pilot and former flight instructor, Mr. Bailey is well-versed in both aviation science and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Federal Aviation Administration. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, CA, and he has shared his knowledge as an aviation law instructor at California State University. With more than 30 years of experience in both litigation and aviation, Mr. Bailey has developed a reputation for his attention to detail and a deep commitment to obtaining the best possible outcome for all his clients. He brings his attention and unique combination of skills, experience and wisdom to each case. This dedication has enabled him to recover tens of millions of dollars for his clients overs the years. He has represented clients based in Santa Monica and the surrounding areas but has also represented and litigated cases in other states as well, including Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida, Colorado and Alaska.

Mr. Bailey earned his J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law in 1978. He is admitted to practice before California State Courts, California Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the all three federal districts in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
