Rod N. Armande is the founder and principal attorney of Rod Armande Law in Los Angeles, California. He represents immigration clients nationwide before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the immigration courts, and he represents injured clients throughout California in personal injury matters.
Mr. Armande’s commitment to immigrant families is personal. He is the son of immigrants, a first-generation U.S. citizen, and the first in his immediate family to graduate from high school, attend university, and earn a law degree. His family experienced years of separation and a long wait for loved ones to obtain legal status. That experience gives him a firsthand understanding of what his clients face and a lasting commitment to keeping families together.
He began his legal work as a Student Attorney in the immigration clinic at Western State College of Law and built his practice on immigration law. He has helped clients secure lawful status through family-based and marriage-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, waivers, VAWA self-petitions, and other forms of relief. He has also defended many others against deportation in removal proceedings. His practice also includes responses to Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny, inadmissibility assessments, and select employment-based matters.
In 2023, Mr. Armande expanded his practice to personal injury law. He brings his negotiation, advocacy, and trial skills to cases involving automobile accidents, rideshare incidents, bus and truck collisions, pedestrian injuries, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, dog bites, slip-and-fall accidents, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. He has dealt with insurance companies without representation himself, and that experience drives his commitment to making sure injured Californians never face those battles alone.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Armande has assisted more than 3,000 individuals with immigration and personal injury matters. He is known for his integrity, diligence, and relentless work ethic. He gives every client personalized attention while pursuing the best possible outcome for their case.
Mr. Armande is active in the immigration bar. He serves as a 2026 American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) National liaison with the Family Steering and USCIS Operations Committees and has held AILA Southern California Chapter liaison roles since 2023. He regularly participates in discussions on immigration practice and the fast-evolving policy changes under the current administration.
Mr. Armande earned his Bachelor of Arts in world history from the University of Georgia in 2009 and his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law in 2016.
His work has earned consistent recognition from his peers and the legal community. He was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2026 and 2027. He holds a “Superb” 9.5 out of 10 rating on Avvo. He was named to The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 for civil plaintiffs and its Top 10 for immigration law in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and he was recognized by Lawyers of Distinction for immigration and personal injury law in 2024 and 2025.
