A highly regarded civil litigator, Roman M. Silberfeld is a partner at Robins Kaplan LLP and the firm's national trial chair. Based in Los Angeles, he represents clients throughout California in a wide variety of matters. Admitted to practice in California, Mr. Silberfeld is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Northern and Eastern Districts of California, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He has been with the firm since 1995.

Mr. Silberfeld's vast civil litigation experience has included a dispute over a popular television show's profits, price fixing and other antitrust matters, contract breaches and noncompete agreements. He has represented a leading consumer electronics retailer in class actions as well as in multidistrict litigation, and his intellectual property caseload has included patent infringement and the misappropriation of trade secrets. Mr. Silberfeld has handled litigation arising under the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act, and he has worked on cases involving childhood sexual abuse, defective drugs and medical devices, and professional negligence. He has received a great deal of recognition from his fellow attorneys for his successful track record over the years, including being selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2013.

After graduating with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, Mr. Silberfeld pursued his legal education at Loyola Law School, part of Loyola Marymount University, and he was the associate editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1974. Active in several organizations, he is a former board member of the San Bernardino National Forest Association and a past chairperson and current board member of Public Counsel, the nation's largest pro bono law firm.
