Ron Makarem

As the founder of Makarem & Associates, Ronald W. Makarem provides dedicated legal representation to people living in Los Angeles, California. He regularly handles cases involving the following matters: professional liability plaintiff cases, consumer law and products liability, employee plaintiff litigation, wage and hour class actions, complex business litigation, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, personal injury and real estate litigation.

Mr. Makarem received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from The University of Southern California in 1992, graduating cum laude. He then went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1995.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Makarem has committed himself to advocating on behalf of consumers. His notable successes include obtaining a judgment in excess of $2 million on behalf of clients who were victims of legal malpractice and certifying a wage and hour class action lawsuit against DHL International GmbH. Mr. Makarem also negotiated an undisclosed settlement on behalf of a television writer who filed a lawsuit involving the reality television show, “The Apprentice,” NBC Universal, Donald Trump and television producer, Mark Burnett.

Mr. Makarem is certified as a legal malpractice specialist by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He has received several honors, including the California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year award from California Lawyer magazine. Staying active in the legal community is a priority for Mr. Makarem. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, serving on its Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee, and the Arab American Lawyers Association of Southern California. Mr. Makarem also serves on the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles’ Education Committee.
