Verlan Y. Kwan

With more than 10 years of experience providing advice and representation for people facing trust and estate administration matters, attorney Verlan Y. Kwan is a Partner at Keystone Law Group, P.C. Serving Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas, Ms. Kwan also assists foreign heirs and beneficiaries by serving as administrator of local estates. Before she narrowed her focus to primarily trust and estate administration and litigation, Ms. Kwan spent several years handling wage and hour class action matters, as well as complex antitrust litigation.

Ms. Kwan’s undergraduate education includes a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine, with a minor in cognitive psychology. She earned her law degree from California Western School of Law, and now, she mentors law students in her spare time.

In Los Angeles magazine, Ms. Kwan was included in the special section: Top Women Attorneys of Southern California. She holds professional memberships with the California Lawyers Association’s Trusts and Estates Section and Litigation Section, as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section and Litigation Section.

Among the many successes Ms. Kwan has in her legal career is a favorable settlement obtained for a client in a multi-jurisdictional action involving a deceased spouse’s trust and community property interests valued in the millions. She has advised more than 100 clients in high net worth trust and estate administration matters, and she regularly handles arbitration, mediation and settlement conferences, guardianships and conservatorships.

When Ms. Kwan is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
