Details

Michele M. Bissada is a partner with Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada LLP, which has offices in Menlo Park and San Ramon, California. Serving clients throughout San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda and Contra Costa counties as well as the surrounding regions of Northern California, Ms. Bissada focuses her practice exclusively on family law.

Certified as a specialist in Family Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Bissada possesses almost 30 years of legal experience. She is also a fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a selective membership available to those determined to be “leading practitioners” in the Family Law field. Ms. Bissada is highly committed to her practice and has achieved notable success helping clients protect their rights and best interests and achieve the most favorable outcomes possible for their difficult and complex situations.  She specializes in venture capital and complex financial situations, as well as high conflict custody cases.

Ms. Bissada is trained in mediation and collaborative law, so she can help clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements without the need for expensive, litigious court battles if possible. Ms. Bissada offers alternate dispute resolution options as a neutral Mediator and as a Settlement Judge. When the collaborative approach is not an option for a client’s case, Ms. Bissada will not hesitate to advocate in court on behalf of those she serves.  Ms. Bissada is a seasoned litigator with experience in the most complicated and contentious cases, including custody, move aways, and dissolutions involving significant and complex assets.

Highly active in her legal community, Ms. Bissada is a member of several local, state and national bar associations. She is currently President-Elect of the AAML Northern California Chapter.  She has also co-chaired the AAML Trial Practicum in 2018 and 2021 and has also served as a leader in the program.  She currently is a co-leader of a Mentor Group for young attorneys.  Ms. Bissada also served as the 2011 President of the San Mateo County Bar Association, after serving for many years as a board member, where she also sat on a number of the organization's committees.  She also currently serves on the membership committee for Collaborative Practice of San Mateo County.

A 1989 graduate of the University of California, Davis, Ms. Bissada obtained her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 1994.
